We thought we could get away with not putting together a registry, but we were wrong. We decided to use Alternative Gift Registry so we could list a variety of things.

The best gift is having all of our loved ones in one place, even for a short period of time.

friday night jamboree

For our guests who will be in town Friday night:

The Floyd Country Store is more than a music venue. It has become a traditional gathering place on Friday nights for musicians, dancers, and visitors from all over the world. The Friday Night Jamboree is an outstanding and authentic experience you can share with new visitors to Floyd.

Many of those who attend the Jamboree are regulars, and for them, the Jamboree is a place to see old friends week after week. But the Jamboree also gets visitors every week from all across the country, and very frequently from around the world.

Wedding and reception will be at our house in Floyd.

We put together a list of places to stay in Floyd, see the lodging post below. Radford is the next best option if places in Floyd fill up.

We recommend that our out-of-town friends and family find a place to stay in Floyd. There are few hotel options and many cabins and B&B's to choose from. Please reserve early to guarantee your room. Guest who are so inclined can also camp out at our house Saturday night, there are some great camping sites on our property.

Floyd offers "none" of the benefits of a big city because it is surrounded only by natural beauty and sits on a plateau on top of the Virginia Blue Ridge Mountains. There’s only one traffic light in the entire county and no four lane roads.
